Abstract: This research is dedicated to analyzing the impact of the semantic diversity of English vocabulary on the formation and characteristics of artistic style. It examines how phenomena such as polysemy, homonymy, synonymy, and the broad spectrum of phraseological units are utilized by authors to create multi-layered imagery, enhance expressiveness, and deepen the text. The role of lexical polysemy in the creation of stylistic devices (puns, metaphors, allusions) and its influence on the reader's interpretation of a literary work is clarified.
