Designing posters to educate about the effects of sugar on the human body

Abstract

Society is constantly developing and progressing, and people are paying more and more attention to health. However, for most people, controlling sugar is not as urgent as controlling salt, oil, and total energy intake. The global population of diabetes patients has reached about 463 million, which is an exaggerated figure. These diabetes patients are distributed around the world, but most of them are in Asia. There are as many as 110 million diabetes patients in China, which is the country with the largest number of diabetes patients in the world. With the development of society and economic progress, people's living conditions have greatly improved. Correspondingly, health issues have become increasingly serious. A high sugar diet is a global public health issue, and long-term high sugar diets can cause significant harm to the body, leading to various diseases. People's understanding of the concept of low sugar diet or the harm of high sugar diet is not clear enough. I will use information visualization design to effectively remind people of the issue of health and sugar control, helping them better understand the harm and impact of sugar on the human body. This topic plan introduces the influence of sugar on human body, the type of diabetes, and the sugar content of food. Further research and expression on the effects of sugar on human body can be conducted through information visualization design and poster design. Information visualization design can cater to the public's reading style in the "image reading era" in the Internet era, and let people more intuitively understand the impact of sugar on human body through information integration and information charts. Data visualization also helps to strengthen people's awareness of low sugar lifestyle.
